Maunal Adjustable Attenuator VOA
Manual adjustable attenuator is also called Manual VOA. It is a core component used in optical communication and radio frequency systems to function precise adjustment of signal power. It can dynamically control the intensity of optical/electrical signals, prevent overload at the receiving end, and optimize the signal-to-noise ratio of the link.
Technology of Manual VOA
In this component, attenuation is achieved by driving the displacement of the neutral gradient filter through a stepper motor or micro-gear set, or by altering the coupling efficiency of the fiber end face.
With mature technology, manual VOA realizes extremely low insertion loss (≤1.0dB), high return loss (≥50dB), suitable for backbone networks and testing scenarios where signal quality is highly critical. The resolution can reach 0.01dB level, and the attenuation range is typically 0-60dB.
