Products Description
Rollable ribbon fiber cable provides the highest connectivity density to new-gen data centers. With multiple flexible ribbon fiber groups inside, it offers 288F to 3456F, meeting the upcoming demand for NPO and CPO solutions in datacom. Structurally, fibers within rollable ribbon cables are attached at regularly spaced points rather than continuously along their length, making the ribbon more flexible/rollable than conventional ribbon cable.
Rollable ribbon fiber, also called flexible ribbon fiber, uses 200um singlemode fiber, not the conventional 250um. It is conbined by intermittent bonds between the fibers, creating a more flexible unit that permits mass-fusion splicing and effectively addresses the shortcomings of the earlier technology of flat ribbons. Representing rollable ribbon examples are ASR(any-shape ribbon) of YOFC, e-Ribbon of SWCC, FlexRibbon of Prysmian,RocketRibbon of Corning.
