Basic Information On Multiplexing Technology

We usually use the multiplexing technology on the most commonly used telephone lines to surf the Internet, so when you surf the Internet, your family can also make calls.

The two most commonly used devices for multiplexing are:

multiplexer

Combine multiple low-bandwidth signals into a high-bandwidth signal at the sending end according to the agreed rules;

demultiplexer

The high-bandwidth signal is then decomposed into multiple low-bandwidth signals according to the agreed rules. These two devices are collectively referred to as a multiplexer (MUX).

Common multiplexing techniques include frequency division multiplexing (FDM), time division multiplexing (TDM), wavelength division multiplexing (WDM), and code division multiplexing (CDMA). Multiplexing includes synchronous time division multiplexing and statistical time division multiplexing. .
