Since the construction of data centers is mainly based on short-distance transmission, in the application of short-distance transmission, the performance of multi-mode fiber and single-mode fiber is similar , but the cost is lower, and OM3 multi-mode fiber can support higher rates. 2.OM3 is a 50um core diameter multimode fiber optimized by 850nm laser. In 10Gb/s Ethernet using 850nm VCSEL, the fiber transmission distance can reach 300m; the maximum transmission distance in 1G, 10G, 40G/100G states is 1km respectively , 300m, 100m.
