Product Profile
- Developed based on the principle of stress-induced birefringence in piezoelectric optical fiber, this high speed polarization scrambler features an all-fiber integrated optical path design. A high-precision piezoelectric driving module dynamically squeezes the fiber to modulate the polarization state of transmitted light, rapidly randomizing the polarization of incident light and enabling uniform coverage of all polarization states across the entire Poincaré sphere.
- The standard operating wavelength range of the high speed polarization scrambler covers 1250~1650 nm, with customized wavelength options available upon request. Three native scrambling algorithms are preinstalled: full-polarization mode, simulated three-loop mode and hybrid mode. Equipped with a standard RS232 communication interface and proprietary upper-computer control software, the device allows manual or program-controlled configuration of scrambling speed and operation modes.
- Widely deployed across upstream and downstream optical communication test applications, the polarization scrambler supports PDL measurement, PMD link emulation, polarization suppression for fiber lasers, anti-polarization-fading optimization for fiber-optic sensing, and polarization characterization calibration of coherent optical modules and optoelectronic components. It is available in two form-factor options: benchtop standalone unit and modular OEM version.

Optimized all-fiber fusion splicing yields typical IL<0.2 dB and RL>50 dB with negligible back-reflection. Ultra-low PDL and residual phase modulation ensure drift-free optical performance at high input power for long-term testing of high-power sources and precision passive components.
Fast Response & Uniform Scrambling
Command response<10 ms, external trigger down to 20 μs, 250 ms per scrambling sweep. Proprietary trajectory algorithm delivers denser, more uniform Poincaré sphere coverage than traditional 3-loop mechanical scramblers, accurately simulating random fiber polarization variation to secure repeatable, precise PDL & PMD test results.
Multi-Mode & Easy Programming
Three preset scrambling modes plus fully customizable frequency and scan paths. Standard RS232 interfaces connect seamlessly to auto test fixtures and 800G/1.6T module mass-test systems; remote batch control via host PC suits R&D and volume production.
Compact & Environment-Resilient

Comparison of Polarization and Interference Effects
- Polarization Tilt Analyzer achieves full coverage of Banga balls in an extremely short time. Figures 1 and 2 respectively show the comparison between different polarization states generated by the Polarization Tilt Analyzer and conventional mechanical three-ring polarization controllers, as well as their coverage rates of Banga balls.
